Know that other voices recently expressed dismay with the direction of this exercise in bad budgeting. Federal judges from 49 states sent a letter to congressional leaders of both parties last week citing the “devastating and long-lasting impact on the administration of justice.” They noted, among other things, delayed proceedings and insufficient resources putting public safety at risk.
How many more voices must be heard before this shortsighted practice comes to an end?
