On May 20, the Akron Beacon Journal published the equivalent of a front-page, above-the-fold headline of “Dog Bites Man.” The headline tell us that a 2½-hour meeting with President Scott Scarborough didn’t change opinions of University of Akron faculty. After at least a year of turmoil, how much change would one expect in a single meeting?
