Q: What is going on with Courtney Thorne-Smith on According to Jim? Is she really pregnant? I know for a while her character was away and she appeared only from the neck up on the video screen, and then she came home and announced that she was pregnant, and then promptly went on ''bed rest,'' and now she does not appear in any new episodes.
A: Courtney Thorne-Smith gave birth to a son in January, and did not appear in some Jim episodes. But she is due back in some telecasts as the show heads toward its season finale May 13.
