Brinkley, Husband No. 4 Back in Court. Who would have thought that Thursday's installment of the Christie Brinkley divorce trial would include a debate about Brinkley's skills as an actress?
After the model testified that news of ex-husband Peter Cook's infidelity left her in shock, Cook reportedly sniped that ''Shrek was more believable.''
Which, if nothing else, says he watches some movies that aren't porn.
But Cook's lawyer seemed to think Brinkley was capable of a good performance in court.
''You're an actress, aren't you?'' he said, according to an account on Newsday.com.
''I'm a member of the Screen Actors Guild, but I'm no Meryl Streep,'' Brinkley said. ''I don't want to flatter myself.''
Smart move. Her big-screen credits, according to the Internet Movie Database, consist of Young Doctors in Love, National Lampoon's Vacation and Vegas Vacation.

Who Would Last 4 Rounds? Hancock, the new Will Smith movie, is off to a good start at the box office, according to movie analysts. (Deadline Hollywood Daily anticipates a total take north of $100 million by Monday.) But EW.com has posed an important question about the movie's title character: Which other superheroes could he beat in a fight?
In a special section (http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20210144,00.html), the online version of Entertainment Weekly asks you to pick the winners in 18 different confrontations, including Hancock vs. Thor, Superman, the Incredible Hulk, Hellboy, Wolverine and Marv from Sin City. If nothing else, it's something to discuss as the holiday winds down.

Movie Roles 4 the Getting? The New York Post says that actress Rose McGowan and director Robert Rodriguez have split, and that it's good news for other actresses.
McGowan, who was once linked to our very own Marilyn Manson, reportedly hooked up with Rodriguez while they were making the Planet Terror segment of Grindhouse. He apparently found her not only attractive but a-muse-ing; the Post said he wanted to star her in three projects, among them a remake of the Jane Fonda flick Barbarella.
But Rodriguez was reportedly having trouble getting financing for a McGowan-starred Barbarella; with her out of the way, Rodriguez might look to a bigger name, like Jessica Alba.

They're Writing Songs of Love, But Not 4 Them. Musician Lenny Kravitz has denied having an affair with Cynthia Rodriguez, who is staying in Kravitz's Paris home because she has reportedly split with her husband, baseball star Alex Rodriguez, since he might have been knocking boots with Madonna. And speculation has Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie headed to divorce court.
Lots of talk, and some of it might be disinformation. Usmagazine.com says Cynthia doesn't believe that A-Rod and Madge are just friends, especially with published reports that the slugger has paid late-night visits to the singer's apartment.
The New York Daily News ran a photo of Madonna and Ritchie holding hands a few days ago but wondered out loud, ''Was this the real deal or a show for the ever-present cameras to downplay divorce rumors?''
Indeed, the News added that ''the move is eerily reminiscent of one used by Madonna's recently-revealed night visitor . . . and his wife, Cynthia, in May 2007 after the baseball player was spotted on numerous out-of-town outings with a stripper.''
