I Get It! I Get It! Actress Raven-Symone has a new DVD in which she presents tips on recipes, party plans and other topics. I am not sure who the audience is, but it appears to include people who value repetition.
The back-cover headline: ''Raven's crafty!'' Ensuing text: ''Raven-Symone is crafty! That's right, Raven-Symone is a crafty girl and she wants to share her secret life with you. This craft-a-licious DVD. . . . ''

Polanski Off the Hook? The New York Times reports that fugitive director Roman Polanski hopes that information in a recent documentary will put an end to his prosecution.
Thirty years ago, the Oscar-winning director pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl. He said it was consensual; she said it was rape. (Either way, I think it was indefensible.) He fled the U.S. when it appeared he would get a prison sentence. Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, which aired on HBO, described several situations in which the actions by the judge and prosecutor were highly questionable.
Even though Polanski is still a fugitive, Dalton told the Times that ''California law would permit either a judge or the prosecutor's office to seek remedies on behalf of Mr. Polanski, including dismissal of the case, if either believed the judicial process had been corrupted.''

Wanting Good, Uh, Quote. An editor passed along a comment from Heidi Klum about sex that made her seem like a not-deep thinker. But it turns out that her interviewer, Liz Smith, wasn't looking for depth anyway.
Here's the key excerpt from the interview on the Women on the Web site (http://www.wowowow.com):
''Liz: I want to ask you one last question. Tell us what you think about sex, so we can do a great headline.
''Heidi: OK, I want to know first what you think about it.
''Liz: I definitely think it's here to stay.
''Heidi: It's definitely here to stay. It would be very boring without. It's definitely one of the most fun things to do, you know.''
Quite a meeting of minds.

She Won't Dance. Don't Ask Cat. So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley recently told Zap2it.com that she's a presenter, not a performer on the dance floor.
''I know I can't,'' she said. ''I literally do that thing, remember when you were in school and you had gym class and you'd stick your arms out and you spin around so you can't touch anybody else? That's me on that dance floor, because they need to be at least that far away from me in a radius of a circle, because I can actually take people out with my flailing limbs.''
She said she had learned nothing from the show's dancers and choreographers. ''I'm also the clumsiest person going,'' she said. ''If there's a hole or a step or anything like that, I will definitely, definitely find it. Just for me to get from the back of the stage to the front in those ridiculous heels. . . . I'm like, 'Yeah. I made it in one piece. Thank you.' Add dancing to that? I think I'd be pushing my luck.''

Emmy Talk. You can find the prime-time nominees, and some of my thoughts about them on Page D3.
One sidelight, though. As Pushing Daisies' Kristin Chenoweth and How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris read the nominees for best reality-show host, Chenoweth noted that she had had a date with nominee Jeff Probst of Survivor — and he is now marrying someone else.
While Probst told People.com that he and Chenoweth did date once, he's not engaged.
''Considering I'm not even in a serious relationship, that was a big shock to me,'' said Probst, who is currently shooting Survivor: Gabon.
In 2004, Probst began dating Survivor: Vanuatu contestant Julie Berry after her series ended. But he told the Philippine Daily Inquirer in March that ''Julie and I are not dating anymore.''
