TRL finale — A galaxy of stars, including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, the Backstreet Boys and Kid Rock, will bid farewell to Total Request Live, the ground-breaking video countdown series that launched careers and became a youth-culture sensation. After 10 years and more than 2,000 episodes, TRL is going on an indefinite hiatus. Among the scheduled highlights of the two-hour send-off is a one-time-only rap collaboration by Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Nelly. They'll join current TRL host Damien Fahey and former host Carson Daly as they relive some of the show's greatest moments and biggest discoveries. 8 tonight, MTV.
Other bets
Tonight: They've got the usual chaos happening on Desperate Housewives. A deadly fire breaks out in the club where the Wisteria Lane guys are competing in the Battle of the Bands. Meanwhile, Lynette learns about the shenanigans going on between her son and Anne Schilling (Gail O'Grady). 9 p.m., ABC.
Tonight: Filth is a satirical offering from the Masterpiece folk. It's a docudrama about Mary Whitehouse (Julie Walters), a real-life British school teacher who, during the 1960s, launched a crusade against sex and violence on television. Clearly, it had no lasting impact. 9 p.m., PBS.
Tonight: JFK: Inside the Target Car is yet another documentary that obsesses over the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. This one claims to use cutting-edge forensics and Zapruder film archives to definitively prove that the fatal bullet was indeed fired from the Texas School Book Depository. 9 p.m., Discovery Channel.
Monday: It's gimmick time on One Tree Hill, where they're paying homage to the films of the 1940s. Karen's Cafe is even done up like the nightclub in Casablanca. Cast member Chad Michael Murray penned the script. 9 p.m., The CW.
Monday: Believe it or not, CSI: Miami is celebrating its 150th episode tonight. That's a whole lot of scenes with Horatio taking off his sunglasses and staring pensively at a suspect. This week, the team searches for a killer who kidnapped a baby. 10 p.m., CBS.
Tuesday: Uh-oh, they're trying to talk to the dead on The Mentalist. Our cocky hero is convinced a so-called psychic is a killer. So he sets up a seance in hopes of exposing him. 9 p.m., CBS.
Tuesday: Brothers to Brutha is a reality series that follows five brothers in an R&B group as they strive to make it big in the music biz without hitting too many sour notes. Can they live and work in harmony? If they did, there probably would be no show. 10:30 p.m., BET.
Wednesday: There's more trouble for poor Addison on Private Practice. She's caring for two pregnant women who — unwittingly — share the same husband. We smell trouble. 9 p.m., ABC.
Thursday: The parade of big-name guest stars continues on 30 Rock as Steve Martin drops by. He plays an eccentric businessman who becomes enamored with Liz. But apparently there's more to him than meets the eye. 9:31 p.m., NBC.
Friday: Larry the Cable Guy is getting a jump on holiday programming with his second annual Star Studded Christmas Extravaganza. Guests include Lewis Black, Terry Bradshaw, Jenna Elfman and Jeff Foxworthy, with musical performances by Montgomery Gentry, Rodney Atkins and Emily West. 9 p.m., CMT.
Saturday: Jacqueline Bisset stars in An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving. Based on a short story by Louisa May Alcott, it's a film about a struggling widow and her three children who receive a surprise visit from her estranged — and wealthy — mother. Can money help heal long-lingering emotion wounds? 9 p.m., Hallmark.
