This year's American Music Awards will be diva-heavy, with Beyonce topping the list.
Tonight's ceremony in Los Angeles will air live at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Also part of the performing lineup: Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift and Rihanna.
Annie Lennox is to receive the AMA's Award of Merit.
Jimmy Kimmel is set to host the 36th annual event. Orly Adelson, president of Dick Clark Productions, the show's producer, called Kimmel ''a masterful host with incredible spontaneity and wit; audiences can expect a great night.''
Kimmel was modest in reply: ''I agree with Orly completely.''
Other performers include Kanye West, the Jonas Brothers, Ne-Yo and Miley Cyrus.
Keys and Coldplay lead the nominations with five and four, respectively, including artist of the year.
