Akron Zoo — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, 500 Edgewood Ave., Akron. The zoo features more than 400 birds, mammals and reptiles from all over the world. It's a Wild World Animal Show, 12:30 and 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at the Time Warner Nature's Theatre in the Lehner Family Zoo Gardens, $1. Winter admission: $5.50. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, 3900 Wildlife Way. Home to one of the largest collections of primate species in North America. Thousands of animals roam the zoo's 168 acres and two indoor acres of the RainForest. Polar Bear Days, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 2-31. Whenever the high temperature for the day is 32 degrees or below, it will be declared a Polar Bear Day and zoo visitors receive half-price admission. To confirm a Polar Bear Day, call 216-661-6500.
