And She Didn't Even Need a TV Show To Meet Him. Former Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars celeb Melissa Rycroft is engaged to Tye Strickland, an insurance agent she has dated off and on for more than two years, according to People.com.
Rycroft is, of course, famous for having been dumped by Bachelor star Jason Mesnick on national TV. She announced her engagement Tuesday morning on Good Morning America, where she works as a ''special contributor.''

More Melissa. ''Strickland, who was a frequent audience member during Rycroft's season eight Dancing stint, popped the question to the Dallas beauty at White's Chapel in Southlake, Texas,'' says People.com. ''The couple later joined their respective parents for a celebratory meal at the Brio Tuscan Grille before heading out later in the evening to a reception with more family and close friends. No wedding date has been set.''
She may be better off not having stayed with Mesnick. As ABCNews.com noted, only one couple from The Bachelor/Bachelorette has made it down the aisle — Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter.
And considering the way current Bachelorette star Jillian Harris has been going, the record may remain intact. Hasn't she figured out that you can't spell ''weasel'' without ''Wes''?

SVU Crash Avoided? Several published reports say that Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay have made a new deal with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
EW.com's Michael Ausiello said the duo signed for two more years on the show, even though it has only been renewed for one more, so far. The report says they also got a raise from their current $385,000-per-episode salaries.
Variety says they were getting $375,000 per show and the raise puts them ''just below $400,000.'' They were reportedly looking for a piece of the show's profits, too, but Variety says ''that wasn't believed to be included in the final deal.''
Meloni and Hargitay have starred on the show since its premiere. But as contract negotiations seemed to stall, an NBC executive said the series would go on in the fall with or without them.

All Canadians Look Alike. Well, All Politicians. Or All Premiers. Regrettheerror.com had this item from the Globe and Mail: ''Gary Doer, the Premier of Manitoba, was incorrectly identified as Brad Wall, the Premier of Saskatchewan, in a photo caption on the front page of some editions of yesterday's newspaper.''
