Weeds Things are looking increasingly perilous for our favorite pot-peddling soccer mom. When we last left Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), she had several guns jabbed in her face, courtesy of local thugs looking to get their paws on her high-jacked marijuana. As Season 3 launches with a hilarious opener, we find that a hardened Nancy apparently has reached the point of no return. So entangled with the bad guys is she that she begins to embrace the criminal lifestyle. We don't know what that ultimately means for Nancy, her family and her lovely suburb of little boxes, but we're pleased to see that Weeds continues to be as addictive as ever. 10 p.m. Monday, Showtime.
Other bets
Tonight: Diana: Last Days of a Princess is an ambitious docudrama that revisits Diana's activities leading up to her untimely death 10 years ago this month. The program weaves together dramatic portrayals and revealing interviews with close associates of Diana and Dodi al-Fayed, including the latter's father. 8 p.m., TLC.
Monday: For weeks they've withstood the relentless heat of Hell's Kitchen, but now the reality show's finalists are one step away from culinary glory. The winner of tonight's final challenge earns the right to become head chef of a new resort restaurant in Las Vegas. Even better: They don't have to put up with monster jerk Gordon Ramsay anymore. 9 p.m., Fox.
Monday: Californication is the provocative title of a provocative new comedy series starring David Duchovny (The X-Files). He plays a novelist struggling to raise his 13-year-old daughter while still carrying a torch for his ex-girlfriend (Natascha McElhone) and trying to revive his dormant writing career. Plenty of boozing and booty calls ensue. 10:30 p.m., Showtime.
Tuesday: Some people want to be American idols or top models. Others want to make their mark in daytime television. I Wanna Be a Soap Star gives them that opportunity. The reality series launches its fourth season with 10 new aspiring actors who will vie to win a 13-week contract with Days of Our Lives. Let the emoting begin. 8 p.m., SOAPnet.
Tuesday: Part docudrama, part musical concert, I Am Mandy Moore is a one-hour special that offers a ''private look'' into the very public life of the young singer and actress. Producers promise that we'll get to see the ''goofy, the fun and the self-deprecating'' side of the star. 10:30 p.m., Oxygen.
Wednesday: NASCAR in Primetime is a fun inside look at life in the fast lane. The five-part series, produced by ABC News, follows drivers, fans and officials over a six-month period, documenting everything that happens on and off the racetrack. Along the way, it examines a multibillion dollar empire built on brilliant marketing, speed and the American dream. 9 p.m., ABC.
Wednesday: On the latest episode of Tyler Perry's House of Payne, a newly divorced CJ finds that everyone in his life wants to hook him up with a date and think they have the perfect woman for him. Meanwhile, growing tensions between Angel and Calvin lead everyone to believe they have feelings for one another. 9 p.m., TBS.
Thursday: The votes are in and tonight we'll finally be introduced to the winner of So You Think You Can Dance? But first comes another challenge that gives the finalists one last chance to strut their stuff in front of the judges. Host Cat Deeley is on hand to crown the champ. 8 p.m., Fox.
Thursday: Blog Cabin sounds like a fun interactive series. The show allows Internet users to determine the key design elements of a beautiful log cabin nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains. The construction process, from start to finish, will be shown, and when it's all over a lucky viewer will win it. 9 p.m., DIY.
Friday: Tweens and teens will be holding slumber parties all over America tonight as the sequel to last year's pop-cultural sensation, High School Musical 2, finally hits the small screen. All your favorite East High Wildcats are back, including Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu. If you're still clueless when it comes to HSM, it might be time to get'cha head in the game. 8 p.m., Disney Channel.
Saturday: Find Your Style is a new home-decorating show that steadfastly insists that even design-challenged people can find their mojo. They just need someone to help bring it out in them. That someone in this case is host and designer Karen McAloon. 10:30 p.m., HGTV.
