Q: I'm trying to recall a TV movie that Lucille Ball did, where she was a homeless bag lady. Can't recall the title. Is it on DVD?
A: You are probably thinking of Stone Pillow, a 1985 TV-movie starring Ball. It was released on DVD a few years ago and is still available. If your local DVD retailer cannot get it, try Amazon.com, Moviesunlimited.com or Deepdiscount.com.
Q: Mark Harmon stars on ''NCIS,'' which is great. Please let me know what other series he has been on. My husband and I can't remember.
A: Harmon, solid and unpretentious as an actor and as a man, has worked steadily in films and TV. His previous series credits include Chicago Hope, St. Elsewhere, Flamingo Road, Reasonable Doubts, Charlie Grace and brief turns on The West Wing and Moonlighting.
Q: Recently I watched the 1980s miniseries ''North and South'' and I was impressed with James Read, who played the part of George Hazard. What can you tell me about his career since ''North and South''? What movies has he made? Is he still acting?
A: Read played George Hazard in the two sequels to North and South and has been a frequent presence in TV movies and series. He has had recurring roles on American Dreams, Charmed and Wildfire. By the way, he has been married for 20 years to Wendy Kilbourne, whom he met when she played his wife in North and South.
Q: Is Steve Buscemi the voice for AT&T's new commercial depicting the gingerbread man?
A: Yes. You may also have recognized comedian Norm Macdonald as one of the other voices.
Q: I was wondering if there is a DVD or tape of an old black- and-white TV show, I believe it was titled ''The Millionaire''? No connection with the current game show. This involved a gentleman giving various individuals a certified check for $1,000,000 and then how it affected their life for good or bad. Not sure if it was a series, but I know there were several episodes. Would appreciate any information you could find.
A: The Millionaire originally aired on CBS from 1955 to 1960. It starred Marvin Miller as Michael Anthony, an aide to the wealthy and mysterious John Beresford Tipton. Each week, Tipton had Anthony present a $1,000,000 check to someone. I do not know of an authorized DVD release of episodes of the series. If you do an online search for ''The Millionaire DVD,'' you will get links to quite a few sites peddling old episodes. But I cannot vouch for those sites, or the source or quality of their product.
Q: I'm a DirecTV customer and have the capability to watch ''Friday Night Lights'' and have watched it from the very beginning. After the Dec. 17 episode it was announced that the final two episodes of the season would start on Jan. 7. Do you have any information about this show and what might happen to it? I'd love to see it come back to NBC but I'm happy to watch it on DirecTV.
A: The current season of Friday Night Lights consists of 13 episodes, which have been airing on DirecTV before going to NBC. It looks as if DirecTV just gave the show a brief break because of the holidays before completing its run. The future of Friday Night Lights will depend on how it does for NBC when the network begins televising the 13 third-season episodes on Jan. 16.
