Rolling Akron. The Civic Theatre will present a one-night showing of Shine a Light, the new Rolling Stones documentary directed by Martin Scorsese, at 5 p.m. April 6.

The film, which features Christina Aguilera, Buddy Guy and Jack White III, was recorded during a Stones performance in New York City in 2006. Presentations begin nationally on Friday, but this may be the closest a showing gets to Akron proper.

The Civic, which says that its ''exceptionally big screen'' is essential for the concert film, is using the show as a fundraiser. Tickets are available now for $10, or $8 with an Akron Film Festival ticket. They can be purchased at the Civic Theatre Box Office by calling 330-253-2488 or at Ticketmaster by calling 330-945-9400.

Limited VIP tickets, which include exclusive seating and a post-show reception at Chrissie Hynde's VegiTerranean restaurant, are $50.

Naked Cleveland. It's no surprise that movie- and TV-making involves illusion, especially when it comes to location. Diablo Cody, the Oscar-winning writer of Juno, acknowledged that in a recent Entertainment Weekly essay about working in Vancouver. ''It's arguably cheaper than Los Angeles, the traffic is lighter, and you don't have to worry about a palm tree sneaking into your establishing shot of 'Cleveland,' '' she said.

So understand that even though an upcoming Naked Brothers Band episode is called Cleveland, the Nickelodeon stars get nowhere near the city.

There's a Cleveland plot line, and a shot of the brothers' tour bus pulling up at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. But if you want to see unintentional hilarity, check out the oh-so-cheap displays passing for rock hall exhibits.

Cleveland airs April 19.

Where's TV One? The channel overhaul being undergone by Time Warner has undergone some changes itself. Among them: TV One, which was supposed to join the analog channel lineup on Channel 47, will instead be available just on digital Channel 217.

The TW spokesman blamed ''last-minute contractual changes'' for the TV One change. But that doesn't mean that the company will return former Channel 47 occupant GAC to that spot. Instead, the company is just running a notice that you can get it in the digital tier.

More Time Warner. The company also had promised the high-definition version of HBO West in the realignment. Now it ''temporarily is not available,'' says a Time Warner rep. It instead added an HD version of Cinemax East.

Outside HD, Time Warner's new lineup has wiped out a lot of the West Coast feeds of premium channels, even though the West Coast feeds were really handy. Haven't you caught the middle of something on an East Coast channel, then used the West Coast feed to catch the rest?

Now you have to hope that the show is in the channel's On Demand lineup.

List Mania. Entertainment Weekly online (http://www.ew.com) has offered its list of the 20 worst movies based on comic books. Though the list doesn't name an all-time worst, it's a pretty amazing selection; in fact, it stretches into 21 films.

The honorees: Judge Dredd, Superman IV, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Batman & Robin, Swamp Thing, Steel, Howard the Duck, Barbarella, Supergirl, The Punisher, Sheena, Fantastic Four, Tank Girl, Daredevil/Elektra (two movies combined for one bad rating), The Phantom, Brenda Starr, Catwoman, Barb Wire, The Shadow and Ghost Rider.

I was going to say something snide about people who have seen more than half of these. Then I started counting the ones I had seen. But, come on, the trailer for Ghost Rider looked good! Didn't it?

Widmark Tribute. Turner Classic Movies will pay tribute to the late Richard Widmark with a showing of three of his movies on Friday.

Widmark died last week at the age of 93. The TCM presentations — all lesser Widmark — are Alvarez Kelly, also starring William Holden, at 8 p.m.; Take the High Ground! at 10 p.m.; and The Tunnel of Love at midnight.

Trivia Time. Since I mentioned the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, happy birthday to hall of famer Eric Clapton. The singer, guitarist and sometime Columbus resident is 63 today.

As for trivia, Clapton lays claim to being the only triple inductee into the hall. Name the three ways he has been inducted.
