GET SMART — ♥♥♥
(PG-13 — some rude humor, action violence and language) Classic sitcom that cleverly satirized Cold War espionage has been transformed for the big screen into an even smarter vehicle. Steve Carell is in the lead role with Anne Hathaway as Agent 99. 1 hour, 50 minutes.
Carnation Cinema, Cinemark Aurora 10, Garrettsville Cinemas, Great Oaks Cinema, Hudson Cinema 10, Huntington Street Cinema 16, Interstate Park Cinemas 18, Kent Plaza Theatre, Lake Cinemas 8, Macedonia Cinemark 15, Massillon 12, Montrose 12, Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill, Rolling Acres Cinema, Shaker Square Cinemas, Tinseltown USA, Tower City Cinemas, Valley View 24, Wooster Movies 10, Magic City Drive-In, Midway Twin Drive-In

THE LOVE GURU — ♥1/2
(PG-13 — crude and sexual content throughout, language, some comic violence and drug references) Self-love does not seem to be an issue for Mike Myers, starring as a guru with an inferiority complex who falls for the Toronto Maple Leafs' owner (Jessica Alba) while counseling the team's lovesick star (Romany Malco), whose wife has run off with a rival goalie (Justin Timberlake). 1 hour, 35 minutes.
Cinemark Aurora 10, Hudson Cinema 10, Huntington Street Cinema 16, Independence 10, Interstate Park Cinemas 18, Kent Plaza Theatre, Lake Cinemas 8, Macedonia Cinemark 15, Massillon 12, Rolling Acres Cinema, Tinseltown USA, Tower City Cinemas, Valley View 24, West Market Plaza 7, Wooster Movies 10

MISTER LONELY — ♥♥
(No industry rating) A Michael Jackson impersonator meets a Marilyn Monroe impersonator in Paris, and she takes him home to the Highlands of Scotland to meet her extended family of other impersonators, including Charlie Chaplin, the Pope, Abraham Lincoln, the Three Stooges and Madonna. Strange and baffling. There is the temptation to forgive its trespasses simply because it is utterly, if pointlessly, original. 1 hour, 52 minutes.
Cedar Lee

THE PROMOTION — ♥♥
(R — language including sexual references, and some drug use) An ill-at-ease movie about two ill-at-ease employees of a supermarket, competing for the same job. Seann William Scott and John C. Reilly play the contenders, as understated as they are sometimes underhanded. With Lili Taylor and Jenna Fischer. 1 hour, 25 minutes.
Montrose 12

ROMAN DE GARE — ♥♥1/2
(R — brief language and sexual references) Intriguing character actor Dominique Pinon, who looks like an insect when he's chewing gum, can do a lot of things at the same time. According to the labyrinthine plot of this movie, he is perhaps an escaped serial killer, a ghost writer or a runaway husband. He meets the heroine (Audrey Dana) at 3 a.m. at a highway cafe, where she has been dumped by a jealous boyfriend. And in Claude Lelouch's twister, which is too clever by half, various possibilities of his possible identities loop back upon themselves. 1 hour, 43 minutes.

21 — ♥♥

Jackson Township Movies 10

88 MINUTES — ♥1/2
(R — disturbing violent content, brief nudity, language) Time is of the essence for Al Pacino's Dr. Jack Gramm, a forensic psychiatrist who receives a threatening call on his cell phone informing him he's got 88 minutes to live. 1 hour, 46 minutes.
Jackson Township Movies 10

BABY MAMA — ♥♥

Jackson Township Movies 10

BEFORE THE RAINS — ♥♥1/2
(PG-13 — violent content and a scene of sexuality) Set in India in 1937, the story of a landowner who has an affair with his servant woman, with tragic consequences. Straightforward melodrama, lushly photographed, told with passion and romanticism. But a little old-fashioned; the plot would feel right at home in a silent film. 1 hour, 38 minutes.
Cedar Lee

BIGGER STRONGER FASTER* — ♥♥♥
(PG-13 — drug use, strong language, some sexual content, pro-wrestler violence) This documentary starts off as if it's just about the use of anabolic steroids in sports, told by director Chris Bell, who, along with his two brothers, has had a lifetime devotion to bodybuilding and powerlifting. But it's so much more than that, as it balances the Bells' emotional struggles against Americans' major body-image and performance-anxiety issues.

1 hour, 45 minutes.
Cedar Lee

MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS — ♥♥1/2
(PG-13 — mature thematic material, including violence, drinking, smoking) An extra-sweet romantic fable from Wong Kar-Wai about love and desserts. You taste My Blueberry Nights with your retinas. There are less appetizing things to look at for 90 minutes than this pretty pie-cart of a movie, its glazed slices topped with the faces of Norah Jones, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz and David Strathairn instead of chocolate-dipped strawberries, dollops of whipped cream or frosting rosebuds. Empty calories. 1 hour, 30 minutes.
Big Picture

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN — ♥♥♥

THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM — ♥♥1/2
(PG-13 — martial-arts violence, strong language) A Karate Kid-meets-Tolkien tale starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li as two martial-arts masters helping a shy, contemporary Boston boy (Will & Grace's Michael Angarano) on his quest to deliver a magical staff back in time to ancient China's Monkey King. Directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, Stuart Little). 1 hour, 43 minutes.
Jackson Township Movies 10

FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL — ♥♥♥
(R — sexual content, language, some graphic nudity) The latest issue from writer-producer-director Judd Apatow's anti-stud farm, a sibling of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad. After his TV-star girlfriend leaves him for a British pop singer, Peter (Jason Segel, also the screenwriter) goes to Hawaii to recover — only to find them staying at the same resort. Ranks with the aforementioned Apatow-produced films for laughs and smarts. With Kristen Bell. 1 hour, 41 minutes.
Jackson Township Movies 10

THE HAPPENING — ♥♥♥
(R — violent and disturbing images) One day in New York people start killing themselves. The survivors flee the city, and Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel find themselves trekking through Pennsylvania farmlands, while the thought develops that the planet's vegetation might be taking its revenge on man. Thoughtful, oddly compelling; too uneventful for some, but it can weave a spell. 1 hour, 31 minutes.
Carnation Cinema, Cinemark Aurora 10, Hudson Cinema 10, Huntington Street Cinema 16, Interstate Park Cinemas 18, Kent Plaza Theatre, Lake Cinemas 8, Macedonia Cinemark 15, Massillon 12, Montrose 12, Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill, Tinseltown USA, Tower City Cinemas, Valley View 24, Wooster Movies 10

HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY — ♥♥1/2

Jackson Township Movies 10

THE INCREDIBLE HULK — ♥♥
(PG-13 — sequences of intense action violence, some frightening sci-fi images, and brief suggestive content) Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) works at controlling the anger that unleashes the Hulk while he tries to find a cure. And he pines over old love Betty Ross (Liv Tyler). But Betty's father, General ''Thunderbolt'' Ross (William Hurt), dreams of using Banner's powers as the basis for a human weapon. While the action sequences are impressive at times, the film is far more dependent on audience nostalgia than creativity. 1 hour, 54 minutes.

Cedar Lee

NIM'S ISLAND — ♥♥♥
(PG — mild adventure action, brief language) A popular author (Jodie Foster) teams up with the adventure-loving Alex Rover (Gerald Butler) in order to help a young girl (Abigail Breslin), who lives on an island where her father has gone missing. Two problems the author faces: her crippling fear of leaving her house, and Alex is merely the main character in her best-selling novels. 1 hour, 35 minutes.
Jackson Township Movies 10

PRICELESS — ♥♥
(PG-13 — sexual content, including nudity) An ultimately tasteless, empty story about people who do degrading things to themselves and others. That said, it's all done with clear-eyed insight and a light touch that makes it a palatable comedy with a delightful adult sensibility. With Audrey Tautou and Gad Elmaleh. In French with subtitles. 1 hour, 44 minutes.
Cedar Lee

SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE — ♥♥♥

THE VISITOR — ♥♥♥
(PG-13 — brief strong language) Walter Vale (Richard Jenkins) gets caught up in the lives of a couple of foreigners, who are in the country illegally. The film carries a harsh statement about post-9/11 immigration procedures, and while timely, relevant and compelling, it doesn't overshadow the heart of the story, which is about the human connection. 1 hour, 46 minutes.
Cedar Lee

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS — ♥♥♥
(PG-13 — some sexual and crude content, language, including a drug reference) A formulaic romantic comedy that would be nothing more than a lame laugher, except for the skill of Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, who milk this story for all it's worth. This tale of opposites attracting — and finding themselves accidentally hitched in Vegas — is an amusing tale of love and loss, with a $3 million payday. 1 hour, 39 minutes.
Big Picture, Independence 10, Interstate Park Cinemas 18, Jackson Township Movies 10, Valley View 24
