Beltz Lawn and Garden is all About Service

It’s easy to see that Tyler Hensch is very proud of Beltz Lawn and Garden, the family-owned business he manages. “We’ve been in operation since 1938, and have been at our current location for twelve years.” He adds, “In the last three years we’ve added two new locations in Canton as well as Medina.”

Their showroom exhibits a wide array of lawn mowers, garden tractors and hand-held equipment, from an extensive variety of manufactures, such as Honda, Exmark, Simplicity, Husqvarna, Snapper Pro, Echo, Wright, and Hustler. “There’s something for anyone’s needs, from the weekend gardener to the fulltime farmer,” says owner Troy Eberly. “We have something for everyone.” Indeed they do.

As Tyler and Troy gave me a tour, I could see what they were talking about. As well as a wide variety of mowers, they stock a large selection of hand-held equipment, including chainsaws, leaf blowers and trimmers from quality manufacturers like Echo, Husqvarna, and Redmax. “These brands are of the highest quality on the market,” Tyler assures. “In fact, they offer some of the best warranties in the business.” He points at the parts building across the parking lot.

“We stock nearly any replacement part available. If we don’t have it, we can usually get it in just a few days.” Tyler continues, “We pride ourselves on customer service.”

That is one of the first facets of their company that they pointed out. “We insist that the customer is satisfied,” says Troy. Tyler adds, “We take a lot of pride in our follow-up service. It’s most important for us to ensure the utmost quality that we can offer.” They are adamant that anyone who walks in will be offered the best service and value. “It’s always about our customers. Always has been and always will be,” says Troy, and Tyler agrees.

Much of Beltz sales include returning customers. The reason they come back is both the excellence and reliability of their products, and the long-time quality of their service. To prove the point, new customers are usually attracted to the store by word-of-mouth.

Tyler also attributes the success of Beltz Lawn and Garden to applying the Golden Rule. “Do unto others…” Tyler declares. “It’s all about honesty and integrity.” Many regular clients are discriminating homeowners and lawn care professionals. This attests to the quality of their products.

Even the associates agree. “It’s a good environment to work in,” says sales associate Beverly. “The job is a learning experience, and teaches us a varied skill set.” The associates offer a level of professionalism that begins on their first day. “We aren’t a ‘cookie-cutter’ operation.”

Most of all, Beltz enjoys getting their customers into the right equipment and insist on continuing service long after the sale. Troy cannot be more adamant when he says, “Our focus has always been our customers. After all, we’ve been in business for almost eighty years. I think that speaks for itself.”
