Our Lady of the Elms Volleyball Teams will host ''Volley for the Cure'' to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation beginning at 5 p.m. at the Elms gym, 1375 W. Exchange St., Akron. Varsity and junior varsity teams will take on teams from Akron Ellet High School. The Parent Coalition for Presons with Disabilities honored Kathy Bachmann of Columbus with its Founders Award. Service awards were given to Patty Kaufmann, board president since 1993, and Maureen Iler, past executive director. Amy Sittner, current executive director, was also honored. Mia Wood received the Service to Others Award.
