Spies, villains and even Bond girls were part of the Dance Another Day gala Friday evening at the Fairlawn Country Club.
The evening was a benefit for the Dance Institute of the University of Akron 2008 scholarship.
''I love seeing all the supporters of dance and getting them together to raise funds to help children,'' Neil Sapienza said.
Guests enjoyed a chocolate cake with a replica silver sports car that agent 007 would drive even on a snowy night. Jim and Dana Pulk were the honorary co-chairs.
''I'm a big Bond fan,'' said Val Renner, who attended with husband Todd Renner.
Carole and Doug Tackett were there to support their daughters, Elizabeth, 17, and Katherine, 14. Elizabeth was being presented with the Gena Carroll Scholarship.
Lou Farris Jr. said, ''I'm looking forward to a successful program that will showcase the institute.''
The evening had dinner, a silent and oral auction, as well as a dance performance.
Kelly Dainton sang Nobody Does it Better with Jeffrey Rolf.
The Dance Institute is a pre-professional, preparatory dance program for children. Many students of the dance institute were on hand, including Jennifer Hu, Madeline Esker and Meredith Edwards.
Lana Carroll Heylock attended the event with her family, including husband Scott Heylock and their children, Gena, Bryon and Jordan.
Kim Hopkins said, ''I'm looking forward to a good turnout.''
Daughter Kristin Hopkins and her friend Elizabeth Mundy agreed that the evening would be very exciting.
Members of the Single Volunteers of the Western Reserve Beverly Desanzo and Eva James helped with registration and greeted guests at the door.
