Roulette, blackjack, craps and Texas hold 'em kept the crowds entertained at the Junior League of Akron's spring fundraiser, Monte Carlo Magic.
The event was Saturday evening at Tangier restaurant, where 110 guests got to try their luck. Anne Riley and Andrea Wlaszn were the hosts for the benefit.
''This is our first year for this event and it is a great opportunity to feature the charitable work that the Junior League of Akron does,'' Wlaszn said.
''I love to see what everyone is wearing,'' said Cindy Murphy who donned a little diamond tiara with her cocktail chic black dress.
''I'm going to try my hand at gambling,'' said Mary Pierce, who attended with friends Keith and Colleen Riley.
Jennie Highfield helped to staff the registration table, along with Vanessa Riedlinger.
The tables were decorated in black, red and white with oversize champagne glasses holding roses donated by Susan Flowers.
Tom and Jennifer Towell hosted a patron party in their Fairlawn Heights home just before the gala.
Kathleen Houck was looking forward to a fun-filled evening.
Others helping with the benefit included Deborah Beloyed, Jeana Jones, Heidi Leslie, Shenan May, Lisa Stephens, Elizabeth Sheeler and Deanna Turner.
Celebrity emcee for the evening was T.K. O'Grady from WONE-FM.
Guests had a chance to win a Las Vegas casino getaway package, a two-week rental of a Cadillac Escalade and an in-home dinner party for eight created and prepared by Akron's Chef Dino, also known as Dean Reed.
Guests had a chance to buy keys that would open a treasure chest containing a beautiful diamond circle pendant set in white gold donated by Kimberly Jewelry.
