Q: I think it’s great that people walk their dogs, but I wonder about those who make their dogs jog with them. I especially feel challenged when I see someone making their dog keep up with them on a leash, while they are riding a bike. I have stopped a few times, stopped the bikers, and asked if their dog was really up for that challenge. I also asked how they might fare if someone leashed them and made them run alongside a moving car. I have Googled the concept and it seems others talk about the merits of exercising their dog via their bike ride. Their opinions are in favor of it. There are even devices to attach to the bike and the dog’s leash. Maybe I am wrong, but, it just doesn’t seem right.
