The American Diabetes Association will hold an open house reception for Director Leah Salem from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, 3180 W. Market St., Fairlawn. Salem has devoted 24 years to the association and its mission. Call Linda, 330-835-3149, Ext. 6743.
Tuesday
The Domestic Violence Project Inc. will host a Family Fun Night from 5 to 8 p.m. at Friendly's, 2030 Wales Ave. N.W., Jackson Township. Face painting and giveaways. Ten percent of all purchases at Friendly's during the event will go to the Massillon shelter.
Thursday
Grow Barberton Inc. will host Cruisin' Into Downtown Barberton from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Second Street Northwest between West Tuscarawas and West Paige avenues. $4 registration per classic vehicle.
