Resale store opening

Looking for bargains to build with? Check out the Canton Preservation Society's new resale store, opening next Saturday.

The store will carry recycled building materials, household items and furniture donated by businesses and individuals. Proceeds will benefit the society.

The store is at 1227 W. Tuscarawas St., Canton. The grand opening will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Saturday with food, entertainment, raffles, auctions and door prizes.

Regular hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays.

Recycle light bulbs

Home Depot is making it easier to recycle burned-out compact fluorescent light bulbs.

The company says it has placed bins for collecting unbroken CFLs in all its U.S. stores. Look for the bin in the front vestibule or near the returns desk or exit.
