If you are between the ages of 12 and about 18, we are looking for your help. More and more young people are turning away from the newspaper to find their news and entertainment. So we have formed a young people's group to solicit input on topics you are interested in and we, as a newspaper, should be reporting. From time to time, we might ask you to contribute a response to a story. Don't worry about writing volumes, unless, of course, you like doing that sort of thing. You might even become the main focus of a story.
If you're interested, send an e-mail to kmcmahan@thebeaconjournal.com with "Kids Group" in the subject line. Include your name, age, e-mail address, phone number, school, grade and hometown.
Thanks for your help.
