PENINSULA: The village is hosting its first Plein-Air Competition: Along the Crooked River.
Local artists will produce two-dimensional art in any medium (no photography) at outdoor locations on June 20-21.
Go to http://www.explorepeninsula.com/map to download the selected competition sites.
The artwork, two per artist, will be exhibited from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays from July 2-26 at the Peninsula Art Academy, 1600 W. Mill St.
An artists' reception will be 5 to 7 p.m. July 2.
