The Summit County Historical Society will host a Summer Time Tea from noon to 2 p.m. on the porch at Perkins Stone Mansion, 550 Copley Road, Akron. The Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital will host the 19th annual HeartThrob Ball from 6 to 11:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, 24 Public Square, Cleveland. Television personality Stefani Schaefer is the emcee. The musical guest is Kenny Loggins. 216-448-1220.

The Greenleaf Family Center will hold its annual fundraising dinner and auction, Art Amore — The Art of Giving, at Silver Lake Country Club, 1325 Graham Road. Auction begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m. $100. For reservations, call 330-376-9494 or visit http://www.greenleafctr.org.

WITAN (Women in Touch with Akron's Needs) will host a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron. Proceeds support the group's community projects. Call Heather Jalbert at 330-281-1890 or Cheryl White at 330-607-5789.

The Wildlife Habitat Conservancy will benefit from the Organic Wine Tasting Party at 6 p.m. at Mo' Joes Cafe, 4469 Hills and Dales Road NW, Jackson Township. $35; $65 couple, includes wines and healthy hors d'oeuvres. Call David Kidd at 330-453-2387.

The Rubber City Rollergirls will hold a school clothing drive for Project RISE at the 6 p.m. bout against the Circle City Socialites at the John S. Knight Center, 77 E Mill St., Akron. Fans can donate gently used children's clothing at the door. For each person donating, the Rollergirls will donate $1 to the Akron Public Schools project.

 

Sunday
Make-a-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana Chapter will benefit from a golf scramble fundraiser at Lyons Den Golf Course, 6347 Manchester Road, Lawrence Township. 8 a.m. shotgun start. On Sale Now
The Friends of Akron Children's Hospital is selling raffle tickets to the 48th annual Harness Race Rally. $1 each or six for $5, on sale through Aug. 14. This year's grand prize is a 2009 Toyota Corolla. For ticket locations, call 330-543-3825.
