Friends of Akron Children's Hospital will hold a Fall Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Suites, 1989 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Betsy Kling from Channel 3 News will speak. $17. Call Vicki Parisi at 330-543-3825.

Tuesday-Thursday
Muffins for Mammograms will accept orders for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thursday

The Akron Press Club is seeking gently used books, music or movie discs for its annual sale to be held Nov. 7 at the Martin University Club at the University of Akron. Proceeds benefit the club's scholarships and educational programs in journalism, communications and public relations.
