The March of Dimes will benefit from the 11th Annual Signature Chefs Auction from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Quaker Square Inn, 135 S. Broadway, downtown Akron. Guests will sample gourmet cuisine while bidding on unique travel, dining, sports and entertainment packages. Tickets $95. Call 216-643-3330.
Tuesday
The Canton Lehman Alumni Association will hold its annual Scholarship Raffle at 6 p.m. at AA Executive Event Center, 5211 W. Tuscarawas St., Canton. Raffle tickets, $35; additional $20 for buffet. For information, call Larry Taylor at 330-494-9519.
Thursday
The Canton Advertising Federation will hold its annual Halloween Costume Reverse Raffle fundraiser at 6 p.m. at
Lake Cable Club House, 5725 Fulton Drive NW, Jackson Township. Tickets at $30 for one, $55 for two an include dinner, two drink tickets and raffle ticket. For reservations, call Annie Murmann at 330-452-5594, ext. 210.
Thursday through Sunday
The Sixth Annual Greek Octoberfest will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 364 First St. SE, Massillon, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The festival features Greek food, culture, music and dancing.
Friday and Saturday
Jesus Divine Redeemer Church will hold a clothing giveaway from 9 to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 to noon Saturday at the church, 7230 Lake Road in Chippewa Lake. Saturday will be ''Deal Day,'' with a bag of clothing for $3. For information, call Judie at 330-722-2585.
The 2009 Mile of Quarters fundraiser family event will be held 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 4015 Medina Road, Bath Township. Activities include Trick or Treat throughout the store, kids' crafts, face painting, book fair, Clifford the Big Red Dog and more. Proceeds will benefit the Community Health Center's programs.
Saturday
Love Inc. will host its first dinner auction at 6 p.m. at the Annunciation Greek Community Center, 129 S. Union St., Akron. The event includes dinner, entertainment, silent and live auctions. Cost is $40. For information, call 330-762-7401.
The Falls Cancer Club will hold a Nite at the Races fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Quirk Center, 1201 Grant Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. $20 ticket includes one horse and deli sandwiches with sides. For information, call Pat at 330-945-9839 or Bonnie at 330-929-2796.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure will receive a $2 donation for every fitting or sale of a Wacoal bra, shapewear piece or b.tempt'd bra during store hours at Macy's Summit Mall, 3265 W. Market St., Fairlawn. For information about the program, call Macy's at 330-867-8888.
