'Balls of Fury'
Rating: PG-13 for sexual content, brief language and a drug reference.
What it's about: A down-and-out ex-table tennis champ is recruited by the FBI to help bring down the pingpong kingpin who killed his father.
The Kid Attractor Factor: Christopher Walken and table tennis.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Pingpong isn't about what paddle you use. It's what's in your, um, heart.
Violence: Gunplay, martial arts punches and crotch shots.
Language: The odd curse word, and the title is a bawdy pun.
Sex: A make-out moment or two and interesting underwear.
Drugs: Referenced.
Parents' advisory: Even the Asian stereotypes lack sting in this inordinately inoffensive goofball hero comedy.
'Mr. Bean's Holiday' Rating: G.
What it's about: Mr. Bean wins a vacation in the south of France. Mayhem ensues.
The Kid Attractor Factor: Mr. Bean is pretty much an 8-year-old with an adult's passport.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Taking on responsibility isn't so bad, and not every adult who tries to help a lost child has bad intentions.
Violence: One mild botched suicide attempt.
Language: Barely any at all.
Sex: None.
Drugs: None.
Parents' advisory: Think young and innocent and 12-and-under, a gentler, more charming Bean, a Bean without the coarseness, or much of an edge.
