The Nritya Gitanjali School of Indian Classical Dance and Music will perform at 4 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Brecksville United Church of Christ, 23 Public Square in Brecksville.
During the program, Shoba Narayan (director of the school) will explain the symbolism in the movements of the performers. An overview of the Hindu religion and Indian culture will also be presented.
Narayan, who has taught dance for more than 40 years, offers classes in Strongsville and at the Shiva Vishnu Temple in Parma. Her husband teaches vocal classes.
The Brecksville performance is open to the public. A free-will offering and a light reception is planned.
