Arlington Christian Academy Benefit Concert: A Tribute to the Music of Motown Records — 7:30 p.m. at East High School CLC, 80 Brittain Road, Akron. Featuring music from the LeGrair Brothers, Robert Hunt, Leslie Parker-Barnes and more. Adults $15 in advance, $20 at the door; students (5-15 years old) $10. Pick up tickets from Arlington Christian Academy. 330-785-9116.

Benefit Concert for the Victims of Typhoon Haiyan — 7:30 p.m. at the Knox Building, 110 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Performances by DrGoo, Baker, The Tribe of Eos, Eminent Domain, Rare Elements featuring Evelooption, Will & Dowd, Bernadette Lim featuring Katherine O’Neill, Natalie Sprouse, David Pokrivnak and Rick Jacob Morrow. Dr. Ray Beiersdorfer performs “Dr. Ray’s Amazing Sideshow of Science.” All proceeds will go to the Red Cross of the Philippines to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
