Crooked River Herb Farm has moved to Wadsworth Township.
Kathleen and John Varga had operated a farm in the Cuyahoga Valley until 2005 and had a shop in Peninsula for several years. The farm’s herbal products are still sold in a few locations around the area.
The new property includes a farm market that the Vargas hope to open in the spring, according to their newsletter. They will offer fresh local produce as well as Crooked River Herb Farm products, and they’re planning cooking demonstrations and other programs.
Make a dress form
A dress form is one of the handiest sewing tools for experienced stitchers, but a form customized to your body can be a significant investment.
Threads magazine has a cheaper alternative.
The magazine has a video tutorial on its website for making a dress form from duct tape and plastic wrap. The first part has been posted, and a second part is promised soon.
You can find it at www.threadsmagazine.com.
