Samples of materials such as wallpaper, carpet and glass will be given new life as art supplies during ZeroLandfill Akron, scheduled for Saturdays in February at a new location, 21 W. North St.
The program collects old material samples from interior designers, architects, graphic designers and others. It then makes them available free to artists and art educators for use in their work.
Donations of materials are being accepted from 9 a.m. to noon today and Feb. 9. They’re available for the taking during the same hours Feb. 9, 16 and 23.
To ask to be added to the ZeroLandfill Akron mailing list, send email to iida.clevak@gmail.com. Information is at www.facebook.com/ZeroLandfillAkron.
