Finding someplace unique to take a date can be a challenge. You want it to look like you put a lot of time into the idea, creating a date the person won’t soon forget.
A few years ago, the Beacon Journal sponsored Love, Akron Style, a local take on The Bachelor. As part of the project, we planned dates for a bachelor and several women. One of those dates included a trip to the Akron Zoo and a visit to Sand Run Metro Park in Northwest Akron for a picnic lunch. Another outing was to the Hartville Flea Market and MarketPlace, where each had $8 to find something to buy the other among the mounds of junk and treasures.
