An educational workshop to explore how to prevent identity theft is at noon Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St., Akron.
The free session is being co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, a Fortune 500 financial service organization that traces its roots back to 1902. The goal of the workshop is to explain how identity theft can occur, to offer steps that can be taken to prevent it and to provide guidance on what to do if your identity is stolen.
