Akron, OH - The film entitled 'Outside In - The Life and Art of Alfred McMoore' was originally started in 2010, by Akron based filmmakers todd v and Erin Ludlam as a part of their web series 'Arts Quest', but as the story unfolded it became something much bigger. Once the two decided that Alfred's story was more than a 8 minute feature, they decided to make his story a documentary film. Alfred was a close personal friend of Dan Auerbach and Pat Carney, of the world famous Black Keys. And, in fact, is the reason for the name of the band. Since its creation it has enjoyed several festival screenings as well as a special engagement in Las Vegas, in conduction with a Black Keys concert series. Now Alfred's story is being turned into a play that will run in Montreal at le Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui.
Now the creators of the film are editing a new version of the film for distribution on iTunes and other digital outlets as well as DVD. "In this new version, there are new interviews with Chuck Auerbach and Jim Carney in their homes and at Alfred's graveside, showing his art and his impact on their lives", says co-director todd v. "I am really excited to share this new version of the film, and make it available to the public. There has been a lot of interest in Alfred's story, and we can't wait to share it with everyone."
To complete this project the team has decided to secure funding through the now popular crowd sourcing platform indiegogo. With this new campaign the film's creators are hoping to raise the necessary funds to get placement in the iTunes store and create the necessary promotional materials to get the film out to the world.
