Apple, cherry or berry?
Wednesday is National Pie Day.
It’s the perfect time to try out a new recipe. You’ll find plenty in the new book released by the American Pie Council, America’s Best Pies: Nearly 200 Recipes You’ll Love.
It’s filled with award-winning recipes from the council’s Crisco National Pie Championships, which have been held since 1995.
Classic cinema

Happy trails
January is a great time to plan a warm vacation, especially if you have the winter blues.
Planning ahead can also be more economical as airfare is often less expensive than booking at the last minute.
And there’s a better chance that you will be able to book the weeks you want at a vacation spot, rather than being forced to take whatever is left.
