A free clinic to assist people with criminal records will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 14 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 442 Bell St., Akron.
The clinic, conducted by representatives of the University of Akron School of Law, aims to help people who have been denied employment, housing or government benefits because of a criminal record. It will cover the issues of expungement and sealing of criminal records, clemency and certificates of qualification for employment.
Participants are asked to bring a driver’s license, identification card, pay stub or other proof of address (utility bill or mail) to learn more about expungement and record-sealing.
