Instead, Stark voters will select the party's nominee for state representative in the March 4 primary

The Ohio House Democratic Caucus won't name a replacement for former state Rep. William Healy II.
Instead, this choice will be left to voters in the March 4 primary election.
''We have many quality candidates and it seemed prudent to let the voters decide,'' Joyce Beatty, the Democratic leader of the House, said in a news release.
The caucus will then name the winner of the primary as Healy's replacement, said Phil Saken, a caucus spokesman.
Meanwhile, extra staff will be provided for Healy's office to respond to constituents' needs, and representatives from nearby districts will help with any issues that arise, Beatty said. Four legislative sessions are scheduled before the primary.
Healy — who was elected Canton mayor in November, unseating Republican Janet Weir Creighton — took office Jan. 1.
Five candidates will compete in the primary for Healy's 52nd district seat. They are: James Babcock, a property-complaints manager for the Stark county auditor; Richard Hiles, a retired engineer with the Timken Co.; John Rinaldi, president of the Canton City school board; Stephen Slesnick, vice president of Slesnick Iron and Metal, a scrap-metal processing company in Canton; and Thomas West, Ward 2 Canton councilman.
The winner of the primary will face John Easterday, a Republican from Canton, in the November election. He is unopposed in the primary.
Two Democratic candidates who applied to the caucus for Healy's seat didn't file petitions to run in the primary.
The 52nd District covers Canton, Canton Township and parts of Perry and Plain Townships.
