The Massillon Museum and the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club will host a Tiger Kick-Off Pep Rally and Museum Party at 6 p.m. at the museum, 121 Lincoln Way E. The International Institute of Akron will hold a fundraiser honoring the Spirit of the Olympics at 7 p.m. at Mocha Maiden/Musica, 17 Maiden Lane, Akron. Games and activities with an Olympic theme; watch the games on a large screen TV and enjoy gourmet and ethnic foods, cocktails and wine. $125. OutRun Ovarian Cancer 5K Race/Walk will be held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. Race day registration begins at 7:15 a.m. followed by a rally at 7:50 and race/walk at 9 a.m. Television personality Lee Jordan will host. http://www.oroc.org.
The Akron Police Canine Unit will hold its fifth annual Hogs for Dogs fundraiser and bike night from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, 2610 Ley Drive, Akron. Grilled food, beverages, silent auction, door prizes, entertainment and activities for children. Seeking Donations
The Dunkin Brands Community Foundation is collecting new and gently used backpacks through Dunkin Donuts locations for the Second Harvest Food Bank's BackPack Program. Anyone donating a backpack or new school supplies (pencils, notebooks, paper, or folders, etc.) will receive a free doughnut. The promotion will run through Sept. 20.

Players will keep a dedicated pink soccer ball in perpetual motion for four hours to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer organization.
