LABOR DAY EVENTS
Friday-Monday

Taste of Cleveland — 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, noon to 11 p.m. Sunday, noon to 8 p.m., Time Warner Cable Amphitheater at Tower City in downtown Cleveland. Entertainment throughout the weekend includes Michael Stanley and the Resonators, Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, Squeeze with special guest Winslow, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Los Lonely Boys with Dave Barnes and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Weekend highlights include delicacies from more than 30 regional restaurants, daily cooking demonstrations and the fifth annual Mayors' Dessert Cup Challenge. $7, kids under 12 free, entertainment free with paid admission. http://www.cleveland.com/tasteofcleveland.

Air Show Deck Party — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday-Monday at the Steamship William G. Mather, 305 Mather Way, Cleveland. Taste of Hudson — Noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, First & Main, 43 Village Way, Hudson. Featuring food from area restaurants, music, entertainment, fine arts, classic and antique cars and downtown specialty and boutique shops.


Monday

Pancake breakfast — 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. Augustine Hall, 204 Sixth St. N.W., Barberton. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-12, free for ages 5 or younger.

Labor Day Flea Market — 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hartville MarketPlace and Flea Market, state Route 619 behind Hartville Kitchen Restaurant. Hundreds of vendors. 330-877-9860 or http://www.hartvillemarketplace.com.

Labor of Love Run — The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill. One-mile fun run/walk at 8:30 a.m. ($10; $5 for 12 or younger); five-mile run through the University of Akron and downtown at 9 a.m. ($15 in advance, $20 day of race). Winners receive cash awards. Two-person relay teams ($30 per team). Noncash prizes for top three teams. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Parking available in UA deck across from the Chapel. Enter off Carroll Street. Barberton Labor Day Parade — 10 a.m. Starts at Wooster Road West and 14th Street, marches around Lake Anna and ends at St. Augustine Church on Sixth Street Northwest.

Western Reserve Antiques Festival — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Western Reserve Academy, just north of the Hudson green on state Route 91 (North Main Street). Featuring 100 antique dealers. $8; free for 18 or younger. Free parking and free transportation between downtown Hudson and WRA campus. Refreshments available.

East Akron Labor Day Parade — 1 p.m., leaving from East Akron Community House, 550 S. Arlington St. Lineup begins at noon.
