Given that the story indicates that the ballot was marked for both candidates it sounds like she may have initially marked it incorrectly, then correctly and was probably in the process of erasing the entry for Obama when the old f*art grabbed the ballot out of her hand. Summit Co. Board of Elections workers can't even correctly process a candidate's name-change form (www.BillConte.com). How can we expect the Board to oversee poll workers (essentially volunteers)? This offense is referred to as an over-vote. Someone deliberately marks a paper ballot on the candidate opposing the choice of the voter. Thus nullifying a vote, in this case, for McCain. This is why the Demorats prefer paper over machine votes. I saw this in person in Florida during the last two presidential elections. The only people trying to steal elections are Demorats. Amen. Unfortunately everytime Republicans have tried to introduce and pass stricter voter registration requirements they are accused of being racist, elitists, and of trying to block people from voting.

Its pretty simple: everyone legally entitled should get one vote and ONLY one vote. If there are voters who can not make it to a voting center then the government (not a particuler polictical party) should provide options. But we need to make sure those options do not provide loopholes for people to vote more than once.

I don't know the legal definition of voter fraud but its ridiculous of you to assume that some of those multiple registrations do not lead to you definition of fraud.

What I have a larger problem with is there is an organization that not only receive government money, but support from BOTH political parties. Why is thie relatively small organization(think I've heard they have 350,000 members) allowed to draw millions in taxpayer funds and then use those funds to drive voter registrations (many which appear to be false) targeted specifically towards one party.

Title 19 of the Help Americans Vote Act (HAVA) clearly defines that the actions taken by Acorn are indeed violations and those involved are subject to Federal Prosecution! Lets see if Barry-O will continue to shield these felons or repudiate them.

Many people are completely unaware that senior citizen voting has been politicized in the U.S. for years.

My mother suffered Alzheimer's. And because my husband and I both work full time, we enrolled her in a senior day care center. One day we received a call from the Director of the center, asking where my mother was registered to vote. I asked why she needed that information. She said that she wanted to register my mother to vote locally.

Now my mother couldn't even recognize me, her only daughter. So I doubted she would be able to make an informed choice between the candidates and issues. But when I pointed this out to the Director, she said something like, "If she hasn't been declared legally incompetent, she has the right to vote." Apparently, the center provided "helpers" to assist the seniors in making their choices. One can only imagine the results of that brilliant plan.

I told the woman that if my mother needed any help with voting, I would be the one to help. And if they went any further to register my mother to vote that I would sue. I never heard another word.

The American people need to demand reform in their voting regulations. We need proper identification at the polls. And only immediate family should be allowed to assist with the voting of disabled people. Until we demand these changes, we'll continue to have voting fraud and stolen electons.

It is also illegal to rat out CIA operatives and guess what, nothing is happening on that. So foul play happens on both sides of the fence, doesn't it? The USA seems to have more demons than saints.

If you are really a republican than bravo for your willingliness to break ranks. I am a regisered republican but have never voted along party lines.

While I have concerns about McCain, I just have not seen enough substance from Obama to justify my voting for him. His "message" sounds great to me also. But given his relatively brief, somewhat obscure, and sometimes conflicting history I just can't cast my ballot with the "hope" that he will prove an effective leader.

To Nicks point above, only history can judge the worth of a politician. McCain's history may be a bit shady, but no more so than other politician's. And at least he has a long history to vet. So instead of allowing party lines to guide me, I will follow th idiom "better tha devil you know than the devil you don't".

Not sure which republican Senator you worked for, but can you actually name 10 Senators who haven't had past ties to shady people? Don't be fooled thinking Obama is Mr. Clean, no politician is - least of all one the main-stream media has already annointed and goes to great lengths to protect and promote. My father was a local politican (Township Councilman in the Philly burbs) in his 20's and retired shortly after I was born(I was the 4th child). When old enough to ask him why he didn't continue he explained that he had reached the point at which he would have to begin sacrificing his morals and ethics in order to rise through the party ranks. You can't stay clean and succeed in corrupt organizations. People will never trust you - you are the nail that sticks-up - and those get hammered down.

We Americans that understand right from wrong, will only put up with the lies so long. If need be will will put forth an effort to boycot every publication, every media source, every offical that hinders the truthful out come of voter fraud, and stacked election ballots.

Mark I fully agree and so do many of us in the GOP. One step though at a time, first lets get McCain elected, then take care of business with those that have lied to us.

Out here in Central California, our rejoinder to the hoopla in 2000 was, "Don't get too upset about the winner not taking the popular vote. If you deducted all the illegal aliens who vote (some of them multiple times), it probably came out the way it should."

Voter irregularities are not unusual in nursing homes. Even though there is supposed to be oversight, it is a farce. Too many times a confused patient is asked, "Do you want to vote for (insert name)?" The patient nods his/her head, and it's on to the next question. Someone should be videoing the process (not the ballots) to ensure that patients' rights are observed. And patients should be able to coherently acknowledge their chosen candidate. Too many times it's the candidate of the supposedly impartial poll worker. I've worked in nursing homes and have seen this done.

The media somehow keep talking about the addicts and alcoholic that is counting vote in Ohio and some how trying to discredit them. What about the addict in the white house for the last 8 years? Is rich addicts any better than a poor one? Just thought I would enlighten you of how the American public really thinks.

I wonder where my post has gone as well about my huge tax increase (this year's tax assessment on my home's property). Since the ABJ is endorsing Donofrio, and I refuse to keep him in office, perhaps I already have my answer! This yr. I am voting bt absentee ballot.
