—Domestic violence/assault
A 36-year-old man was struck twice by gunshots Nov. 5 outside the Lounge, 370 Paul Williams St.
A rape was reported Nov. 4 on Brown Street.
A rape was reported Nov. 2 on Nash Street.
Lyedelle D. Cook, 34, of North Arlington Street, was charged Nov. 1 with domestic violence. Cook pushed a woman, grabbed her wig off her head, punched her and grabbed her by the neck, reports said.
Vincent D. Elliott, 47, of the 800 block of Inman Street, was charged Oct. 31 with domestic violence. Elliott is accused of shoving and pulling his girlfriend, causing bruises and a scratch, police said.
Necho Anderson, 39, of the 600 block of Wall Street, was charged Oct. 30 with domestic violence after he allegedly bit a woman on the arm.
Johnny D.L. Gaiter, 26, of the 100 block of Berkley Street, was charged Oct. 29 with domestic violence and domestic violence/menacing. Gaiter is accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend, punching her in the face and burning her with a cigarette.
Alex Brown, 42, of South Adolph Avenue, was charged Oct. 29 with domestic violence.
Ontayia N. Harvey, 27, of the 1700 block of West Waterford Court, was charged Oct. 29 with felonious assault and aggravated burglary. Harvey is accused of entering a Minson Way residence, gouging a woman in the eyes and attempting to strike her with an iron.
Joseph Gray, 47, of the 400 block of Lookout Avenue, was charged Oct. 29 with domestic violence. Gray punched a woman in the face, knocking her to the floor, reports said.
Rebecca P. Gilmore, 29, of the 400 block of Chittenden Avenue, was charged Oct. 29 with felonious assault and domestic violence. According to reports, Gilmore threw a mug of boiling water at the father of her child, burning his neck and shoulder.
Taurus L. Johnson, 30, of the 400 block of Zahn Drive, was charged Oct. 29 with domestic violence. Johnson slapped and choked his girlfriend and fled through a window, reports said.

A burglary was reported Nov. 3 in the 900 block of Oregon Avenue. Someone entered an unlocked bathroom window and took a laptop.
Erik D. Mahone, 28, of the 900 block of Copley Road, was charged Nov. 3 with aggravated robbery and having weapons illegally. Mahone is accused of robbing Downtown Adult Cinema, 44 S. Case Ave., at gunpoint on Dec. 19, 2007. He took $310, reports said.
Three males entered a Neal Court residence Nov. 3, demanded money and assaulted the resident with a handgun. The resident and another man were smoking crack, reports said.
Darden B. Moore, 31, of the 1000 block of Cadillac Boulevard, was charged Nov. 1 with aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. According to reports, Moore broke into a Roslyn Avenue residence and assaulted a man before fleeing.
A break-in was reported Oct. 31 in the 800 block of Lee Drive. Someone kicked in the door and removed the copper pipe.
Mariaaleise D. Andrew, 20, of the 900 block of North Jenkins Boulevard, was charged Oct. 31 with aggravated robbery. Andrew allegedly lured a man to an address where he was robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint.
Jesus D. Linear, 21, of the 1600 block of Shatto Avenue, was charged Oct. 30 with aggravated robbery. Linear was observed shoplifting on a security camera at Gabriel Brothers, 1890 W. Market St., reports said. When confronted, Linear's companion brandished a gun and both fled on foot, according to the report.
Keith J. Trice, 48, of the 900 block of Valdes Avenue, was charged Oct. 28 with robbery, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia. Trice allegedly pushed an employee when he was confronted about stealing items at Walgreens, 834 W. Market St. According to reports, Trice then ran from an officer who ordered him to stop and used his Taser twice. Trice reportedly had a crack pipe in his possession.
Jeremie J. Jones, 20, formerly of Marcy Street, was charged Oct. 29 with aggravated robbery. Jones and two men allegedly robbed Wendy's, 2060 Mogadore Road, at gunpoint.

Bennie Blackwell, 48, of the 900 block of Work Drive, was charged Oct. 25 with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs and permitting drug abuse.
Stacy M. Johnson, 37, of the 900 block of Delia Avenue, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and occupying drug premises. Reports said the Street Narcotic Uniform Detail unit executed a search warrant and found crack cocaine, manufacturing equipment, crack pipes, metal spoons and an abrasive copper pad.

Martin S. Main, 37, of Akron, was charged Nov. 3 with two counts of assault and one count of aggravated trespass. He is accused of assaulting his ex-wife's boyfriend and another man in the boyfriend's College Street home.

Someone broke into a home in the 300 block of Lucas Street on Nov. 1 and took a video game system.
Bath Township
— Arrests
Dustin B. Wallace, 18, of Wadsworth, was charged Nov. 3 with carrying a concealed weapon, having a firearm in a motor vehicle, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. An officer reported hearing what sounded like a shotgun blast in the area of Crystal Lake Road and Granger Road and stopped a car Wallace was riding in at Yellow Creek and Ghent roads. According to the report, Wallace admitting shooting a gun near a local church. A juvenile in the car was arrested for violating curfew.
Copley Township

Shannon R. Sharp, 33, of Barberton, was charged Oct. 28 with telecommunication harassment. She is accused of leaving threatening messages for her ex-boss at his Copley business.
— Breaking and entering
A lock was cut from a storage unit in the 1200 block of Sawmill Road on Oct. 27. A snowblower valued at $1,000 was taken.
— Theft
A laptop computer was taken from a car parked in a lot at 96 Rothrock Road on Oct. 27.
Coventry Township
— Arrests
Dan Burt of Second Street, Kent, was booked at the Summit County Jail on Oct. 26 and charged with assault after allegedly striking a man in the face several times at the latter's West Minor Road home.
Georgette Maavich, 38, of Lake Vista Road was jailed in Summit County on a domestic violence charge Oct. 24 after a man said she threw a bottle at him during an argument at the residence.
Fairlawn

Joshua D. Baker, 24, of Akron, was arrested Nov. 2 on a warrant for forgery from Cuyahoga Falls police. Police discovered the warrant after stopping Baker in the 2600 block of West Market Street while investigating a complaint of a suspicious person.
— Theft
Two men described in their 50s or 60s stole $180 in cash from a register at Brookstone's Summit Mall store Nov. 1. According to a report, surveillance video shows one of the men taking a small pillow from a display, then using the pillow to conceal his hand as he opens the cash register while the other man acted as a lookout. The film shows the man taking $20 bills from the drawer, police said.
A wallet containing $30 cash, a credit card and checkbook was taken after an 82-year-old woman left it on the customer service counter of Marc's, 2753 W. Market St., on Oct. 31.
It was reported Oct. 30 that a bronze vase was ripped from a grave marker at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3535 W. Market St., between May 11 and Sept. 13.
A snowblower and pressure washer, valued at a total of $1,100, were taken from an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Owasso Avenue between Oct. 28 and 29.
A catalytic converter was taken from a 1998 Toyota Road Runner parked in the 700 block of South Cleveland-Massillon Road between Oct. 28 and 29.
Two rifles, a drill and a BB-gun were taken from a garage in the 300 block of Mackinaw Avenue between Oct. 28 and 29.

Elizabeth Sines, 29, of Tyson Avenue, was jailed in Summit County on Oct. 25 on a felony domestic violence charge after being accused of striking a man in the back with her fist and throwing a plastic water bottle at him at the home.

A Mayfair Lakes Housing Association sign, valued at $650, was stolen Oct. 24 from Sawgrass Drive, according to the association president.

Amy C. Held, 28, of the 600 block of West Main Street, Kent, was charged Oct. 26 with operating a vehicle under the influence, refusing a breath test and crossing marked lanes.

Darrin Walker, 34, of Ambassador Drive, was booked at Summit County on an assault charge Oct. 28 after being accused of shouting at a woman, pinning her on a couch and shaking her violently.
Domestic violence charges were filed against Chelsea Drive residents Sheila Lipscomb, 46, and Cecil Shrock Jr., 47, as a result of a verbal altercation.
New Franklin

A Lynn Drive resident said two vehicles were entered at her residence Oct. 27 and paintball equipment and other items, total value $650, were stolen.

Edward A. Stanger, 82, of Greenwich Road, was charged Nov. 1 with two counts of domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting his 80-year-old wife and 47-year-old daughter.
— Theft
A Pamdom Drive woman reported Nov. 2 that she found some missing items in a storage shed and car used by her brother's girlfriend. The reporting party said the woman admitted taking the items, and selling some of her clothing to a Cuyahoga Falls consignment shop. Police are investigating.
Two cameras and 125 cartons of cigarettes were among the items stolen from a storage unit at Barber Road Storage, 3487 Barber Road, on Nov. 3. The owner of the merchandise told police he suspects a woman who was supposed to move some of the merchandise sold it instead.
A Weber Drive man told police Nov. 4 that he gave a contractor more than $4,400 to repair the roof of his home. He said the man cashed the check, but has done no work.

A 1997 Jeep Wrangler was taken from a yard in the 4100 block of Summit Road on Oct. 30.

A 14-year-old Spring Hill Junior High School boy was booked at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of inducing panic Oct. 30. He is accused of telling students that he was going to bring a revolver to school the next day. The Rutland Street eighth-grader's mother was told not to return the student to the school, police said.
Don Robbins, 50, of East Waterloo Road, was jailed on charges of assault and resisting arrest after being accused of kicking and punching a neighbor Oct. 25.

A laptop computer, tires and other items, total value $1,950, were reported stolen Oct. 24 during a break-in at an Eastview Drive home.
A Swinehart Road man said three slot machines and other items, total value $2,300, were taken during a forced entry Oct. 21. According to a report, some of the items were found at a nearby home.

Christopher M. Gillmor, 26, of the 2400 block of Call Road, was charged Oct. 31 with operating a vehicle under the influence and crossing marked lanes.
Mark A. Phillips, 38, of the 2000 block of Berger Avenue, was charged Oct. 29 with operating a vehicle under the influence, not keeping the assured clear distance ahead and having an open container in a motor vehicle.

Maureen C. McCoy, 19, of the 1400 block of Chiarucci Drive, Kent, was charged Oct. 30 with theft and possession of criminal tools. Mercedes Y. Bagley, 20, of the 1400 block of Eastway Drive, Kent, was charged with theft. The two were accused of concealing $265.99 worth of clothing into a large handbag at Kohl's, 4240 Kent Road.
Alexis R. McFarland, 18, of the 1800 block of Rhodes Road, Kent, and Christopher J. O'Donnell, 18, of the 1700 block of Tifft Street, Cuyahoga Falls, were charged Oct. 29 with two counts of burglary.

Balint J. Hader, 53, of the 2400 block of Graham Road, was charged Oct. 30 with domestic violence after he allegedly threw a bottle at a woman.

Richard A. Varner, 24, of the 1000 block of Stoner Avenue, Akron, was charged Nov. 1 with operating a vehicle under the influence. According to a report, Varner was seen urinating at the intersection of Eastwood Avenue and Darrow Road.
Larry L. Nipper, 55, of the 700 block of Chitty Avenue, Akron, was charged Oct. 30 with operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension.
Robert A. Anderson, 53, of the 900 block of Sunsetview Boulevard, was charged Oct. 27 with operating a vehicle under the influence.

Jack R. Toriello, 22, of Warren, was charged Oct. 31 with operating a vehicle under the influence, not having a plate light and possession of marijuana.

A Canal Fulton resident told police Oct. 29 that $700 cash was taken from his uncle's wallet while he was living at a Strausser Street senior living community.

Edward Manion, 35, of Pigeon Run Road, Navarre, was booked at the Stark County Jail on Oct. 27 on a warrant for passing bad checks. He was taken into custody in downtown Canton.
Jason Corbett, 24, of Woodside Avenue Southeast, North Canton, was booked at the Stark County Jail on Oct. 25 on charges of domestic violence and disrupting public services. According to a report, during a confrontation in a vehicle with a woman, he broke a car window and glass fell on her and a child. He fled with her purse and cell phone and was arrested a short time later.
Brandi Neading, 27, of Pinehurst Avenue Northwest, was jailed in Stark County on Oct. 24 on a warrant for felonious assault and other miscellaneous charges.
Andrea Randle, 20, of Cleveland was arrested there and turned over to Jackson police, who booked her in Stark on a felony forgery warrant Oct. 24.

Security personnel at a Westfield Belden Village store advised police on Oct. 27 that a woman used another woman's credit card to purchase three gift cards, two purses and other items, total value $860.

A Nobles Pond Drive resident told police Oct. 28 that two crossbows, valued at $550, were stolen from his garage over the past several months and he hadn't noticed they were missing.

A Cleveland Avenue Northwest beverage drive-through was broken into Oct. 26 and three TVs, cash, beer and cigarettes, total value $5,950, were stolen.
Several items, total value $7,842, were stolen during a break-in Oct. 23 at a Nimishillen Church Street Northeast home.

Bridgett Blair, 49, of Gibbs Avenue Northeast, Canton, was booked at Stark County on identification theft charges. She is accused of identity theft after trying to pass herself off as a relative to get medical services Oct. 29.
Aaron Taylor, 26, of Snyder Avenue, Canton, was jailed on a felony theft charge Oct. 29 at a North Main Street location after store security personnel said he left the supermarket with a cart containing $622 worth of merchandise.

A guitar, cameras and other items, total value $2,300, were reported stolen Oct. 25 from a Woodside Avenue Southeast home during a break-in.

Michael Dolak and Justin Stoll, both 18 and both living on Regentview Avenue Northeast, were jailed on burglary charges Oct. 27 after they were accused of stealing items from vehicles in a Hollythorne Road Northeast garage.
Daniel Bradshaw, 29, of Fourth Street Northeast, Canton, was jailed in Stark County on Oct. 26 after a woman said he struck her several times on the side of her head with his fist.

A snowblower and pressure washer, valued at a total of $1,100, were taken from an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Owasso Avenue between Oct. 28 and 29.

Edward A. Stanger, 82, of Greenwich Road, was charged Nov. 1 with two counts of domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting his 80-year-old wife and 47-year-old daughter.

A Pamdom Drive woman reported Nov. 2 that she found some missing items in a storage shed and car used by her brother's girlfriend. The reporting party said the woman admitted taking the items, and selling some of her clothing to a Cuyahoga Falls consignment shop. Police are investigating.
Two cameras and 125 cartons of cigarettes were among the items stolen from a storage unit at Barber Road Storage, 3487 Barber Road, on Nov. 3. The owner of the merchandise told police he suspects a woman who was supposed to move some of the merchandise sold it instead.
A Weber Drive man told police Nov. 4 that he gave a contractor more than $4,400 to repair the roof of his home. He said the man cashed the check, but has done no work.

A 14-year-old Spring Hill Junior High School boy was booked at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of inducing panic Oct. 30. He is accused of telling students that he was going to bring a revolver to school the next day. The Rutland Street eighth-grader's mother was told not to return the student to the school, police said.
Don Robbins, 50, of East Waterloo Road, was jailed on charges of assault and resisting arrest after being accused of kicking and punching a neighbor Oct. 25.

A laptop computer, tires and other items, total value $1,950, were reported stolen Oct. 24 during a break-in at an Eastview Drive home.
A Swinehart Road man said three slot machines and other items, total value $2,300, were taken during a forced entry Oct. 21. According to a report, some of the items were found at a nearby home.

Edward Manion, 35, of Pigeon Run Road, Navarre, was booked at the Stark County Jail on Oct. 27 on a warrant for passing bad checks. He was taken into custody in downtown Canton.
Jason Corbett, 24, of Woodside Avenue Southeast, North Canton, was booked at the Stark County Jail on Oct. 25 on charges of domestic violence and disrupting public services. According to a report, during a confrontation in a vehicle with a woman, he broke a car window and glass fell on her and a child. He fled with her purse and cell phone and was arrested a short time later.
Brandi Neading, 27, of Pinehurst Avenue Northwest, was jailed in Stark County on Oct. 24 on a warrant for felonious assault and other miscellaneous charges.
Andrea Randle, 20, of Cleveland was arrested there and turned over to Jackson police, who booked her in Stark on a felony forgery warrant Oct. 24.

Aaron Taylor, 26, of Snyder Avenue, Canton, was jailed on a felony theft charge Oct. 29 at a North Main Street location after store security personnel said he left the supermarket with a cart containing $622 worth of merchandise.
