Three parties in one location proved to be a winning combination for the Akron Art Museum Saturday night.
The second annual SWITCH fundraiser was chaired by Matt McCallum and Dana Lobalzo-Saporito.
''Isn't this a great place for a party?'' museum Executive Director Mitchell Kahan said as he greeted guests walking the red carpet.
The event celebrated three different eras: '40s swing, '80s disco and present day hip-hop.
Sodexho Catering set the tone with food from each era, while the University of Akron's Dance Program encouraged everyone to join in with dances of the era.
Judy Cutlip served chocolate martinis, while Linda Nash offered macaroni and cheese from the Swing Food Bar.
John Zoilo recommended the sweet potatoes, while Caroline Anderson passed pudding spoons and Georgia Zentner offered Jell-O shots.
''Tonight's fashion is all about shoes,'' Chris Hixson said as he admired Lyn Bober's stilettos.
Laura Gelfand said she purchased her striking silver-trimmed boots in New York City. She was enjoying the event with her husband, Andrew.
Rella Rotondo was attired in a '40s look as she danced with Bill St. John. Eric Jones donned an '80s suit. Myrna Berzon wore a striking leather ensemble.
