Three projects in Stark County will receive funds: $31,561 for a handicapped-accessible walking track in Canton Township; $7,000 to Minerva to purchase and install skate park equipment; and $5,286 to Alliance for a play area, shelter and skate park at Memorial Park.
In Medina County, Montville Township qualified for $56,560 to develop six baseball fields and a walking track at Cobblestone Park.

In all, the state awarded $1.7 million to 90 parks in 58 counties through the 2008 NatureWorks Grant Program.
