The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for much of Northeast Ohio, including the counties of Summit, Medina, Portage, Stark and Wayne. The advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Wednesday. Areas covered by the advisory can expect 2 to 3 inches of new snow accumulation today. Windy conditions are expected to develop, creating poor visibility and snow drifting.
The weather service has also issued a wind chill advisory, effective from 6 p.m. today until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Wind chill readings as low as 10 degrees below zero are expected tonight.
