A Kling Street woman, 47, reported April 1 that two men robbed her of $500 at gunpoint at her residence. The woman told police that she owed $20 for beer to the two men, who forced their way into the residence with a gun and ransacked the apartment.

Whats the world coming to. There used to be a time when you could get $20 worth of beer fronted to you, and still buy more beer from the same beer dealer, and pay him back down the road. Now the beer dealers kick your door in and takes $500 at gunpoint... geesh

"Mother leaves kids in car" Back when my kids were little, I remember it really bothered me to just go outside in the yard for 30 seconds and leave them in the house. I just can't imagine going to the grocery store taking my time shopping, and my little kids are out in a car all alone. I don't understand how you could not of felt tremendous guilt coming out to the car seeing them crying because you left them. Instead of the law just smacking their hands for this, these kids should be taken away from them. They obviously don't want the responsibility and who knows what else they have done and just didn't get caught at it.

The moral decline is caused by are refusal to love God with all our heart and soul. Turning back to God will lessen the problem a great deal. Of course we will always have some who refuse. They call it free will.

All the crime in Akron is working its way out into the surrounding areas. It's really a shame that Akron is sinking into a cesspool of crime and violence. It's time for us law abiding citizens to move out of Akron and let the criminals and drug dealers pay the high city taxes to pay for signs and painting marks on the streets for bicycle riders.
I'm tired of the high city taxes I have to pay and the city won't even keep the police department staffed.
Everyone needs to get their CHL (Concealed Handgun License) in order to protect yourself from the thugs listed on this page!

DONT TREAD ON ME- Obviously if you are watching the news any- CRIMES ARE HAPPENING EVERYWHERE. So you can move wherever you want- ITS STILL GOING TO BE CRIMES DUH!!! William I agree with you GOD is a very important key to the way things are going right now- I really think he's trying to get our attention and to let us know that there's no alot of time left for us, and that he's coming back real soon.
Moving and not going to help and getting licensed to carry a weapon won't either. If you have the weapon and it's seen- You better use it before it's used on you! So its best not to have one at all. That would save you and anyone else!

Silly, criminals don't pay taxes. That's why they don't have jobs. Their take home pay is all tax free!
