Plaza hearing
BATH TWP.: The township's zoning commission is holding a public hearing at 7 p.m. Thursday for the West Market Plaza.
The plaza's owners are seeking a zoning text amendment that would allow for multiple business names to be placed on the shopping center monument signs. The township's zoning rules only permit the name of a shopping center on a monument sign, not the names of individual tenants.
Two years ago, a similar request was denied by Bath trustees.

MEDINA
Plans for hospital
MEDINA: The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public hearing Wednesday on plans by the University Hospitals Health System to build a new medical campus east of Medina.
The hearing on filling in 1.97 acres of wetlands and 2,202 feet of streams at state Route 18 and Interstate 71 in Montville Township will be at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of the Medina County District Library, 210 S. Broadway.
The plans require approval by the Ohio EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The plans by Faith and Hope Land Development Co. LLC, an agent of the Cleveland-based hospital, call for development of 19.7 acres between state Route 18, the interstate, Normandy Park Drive and East Normandy Park Drive.
The hospital has plans for an outpatient medical building, to be called UH Medina Health Center. It plans to consolidate existing medical services and to expand its offerings in Medina County
Comments on the wetland questions must be submitted by June 10. They can be sent to Ohio EPA, Division of Surface Water, Permits Processing Unit, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216.
The application and related material are available for review by calling 614-644-2001.
