They can? How? Depending on the intensity of the fire, and I assume it was intense since the SUV is described as burned out, there may be nothing left inside to even dust....melted plastic, melted, warped steering wheel, soot and smoke damage, etc....seems like a smart move to me.

It is not like the TV show CSI where they perform miracles every 10 minutes. I have a bit of experience at one of them........

my understanding with fingerprints is that some form of oil is involved. Said oil would probably be effected by any nearby extreme heat thus making finding prints pretty difficult in or around a fire.

I have been told even prolonged exposure to steam will eliminate the possibility of pulling prints off an object.......or something like that I read once on the internet.

I feel if you are big and bad enough to commit a crime-why run and hide? You cant expect to shoot and kill someone and think u are going to run "foot-loose-and fancey free"-sorry it just doesnt work like that.

Why should we care about this? The people that are involved won't talk to the police, and we are to be concerned? I think not.

Here is a thought. The police said many times that they had no witnesses that could identify the car used in this crime.

If that is the case, how can they be so sure the car they found burned is the car used? My guess is they did have a witness or, the car was not destroyed enough by the fire to conceal gun casings or other evidence.

I also wonder if the person claiming that the car was stolen is a suspect?

My prayers to the families of those victims. It is hard to lose a loved one, but so suddenly and violently, that has to be a terrible thing to deal with and live through.
