Akron Serra Club — University of Akron's Martin Center. Noon July 14. Kathryn Mihelick will speak about her work with the Liturgy Office of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to gain approval and official sanction of liturgical dance as a form of worship. A former Kent State University dance coordinator, Mihelick is founder/director of Leaven Dance Company. Luncheon is $11, but the presentation is free. 330-688-8806.

Columbia United Methodist Church — 978 Wooster Road W., Barberton. Jerry Lucas, former NBA and Ohio State basketball star, will present three programs on his learning system.
