A Barberton man has been found guilty of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and various drug offenses in the 2008 revenge killing of an Akron heroin user who stole drugs from the defendant.
Terry Lee Wilson, one of three men arrested in the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Jason Reid behind a Barberton printing business in August, will be sentenced by Summit County Common Pleas Judge Tom Parker at 10 a.m. July 14.
Wilson, 43, was convicted in a jury trial last week. He faces a sentence of life in prison.
Accomplice David J. Zander, 30, of North Canton, was found guilty of aggravated murder earlier this year and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
An alleged accomplice, James P. Ware, 35, of Akron, is scheduled to stand trial Aug. 20.
The three suspects, according to Barberton police, went to recover the stolen drugs from Reid and found him at a Barberton tavern.
Police said Zander lured Reid outside, where Wilson and his alleged accomplice, Ware, were waiting for the victim.
As Reid began to run, he was chased by Wilson and Ware and then shot in the back by Wilson, prosecutors said.
Barberton police reported finding Reid's body behind the printing shop with 63 bags of heroin in his pockets.
Wilson was found not guilty of one count of aggravated murder with prior calculation and design, two counts of drug trafficking and one count of tampering with evidence.

C'Mon, B'Town, C'Mon. . .
That was a brilliant plan the gang hatched.
Sooo close to getting away with it.
shot him in the back and forgot the dope...hmmmmm. dumb crook news,or knuckle heads in the news.
63 bags? he would have OD'ed anyway.
Dumb all around. Pretty stupid to steal from a dealer and think you'll get away. Then they shoot him in the back (cowards) and leave 63 bags on him? As long as they just kill each other then the rest of us are okay. It's the stray bullets and robbing & killing of innocent people that I'm sick of.
scum, maggots, Bubba is waiting for a goodnight kiss
I agree with Lie Detector... This is a win-win situation for the average person, we're better off with a few less drug dealers on the streets.
I agree with detector, let the dealers and fiends rob and kill eachother!!
MMmmm. Drugs are bad MMkayy!
