Summit County Engineer B. Alan Brubaker has announced his summer resurfacing and spot-paving program.
The county will spend $1.46 million on these projects:
-- Everett Road from Medina County line to Hametown Road in Bath and Richfield townships will be resurfaced. The work will begin in August and be completed by Sept. 15.
-- Cleveland-Massillon Road from Springside Drive to Ghent Road in Bath will be resurfaced. The work begins this month and will be completed by Sept. 1.
-- Cracks will be sealed in South Main Street from the Green limits to Lakota Drive in Coventry Township; Ridgewood Road from Medina Line Road to Hametown in Copley Township; Killian Road from state Route 241 to Myersville Road in Springfield Township; and Highland Road from Chamberlin Road to Haddan Road in Twinsburg Township.
The work begins this month and will be completed by Aug. 31.
-- A rejuvenating agent will be used on Killian Road from Myersville to Canton Road in Springfield; Ridgewood from Hametown to Cleveland-Massillon in Copley; Medina Line from Ridgewood to state Route 18 in Copley; and White Pond Drive from state Route 162 to the Akron limits in Copley.
The work will begin next month and be completed by Sept. 15.
-- Rothrock Road will be resurfaced from Springside Drive to the Fairlawn limits. The work begins this month and will be completed by Sept. 1.
-- Spot-paving work will be done on North Turkeyfoot Road from South Main to Vaughn Trail in Coventry; Warner Road from South Main to North Turkeyfoot in Coventry; and Yellow Creek Road from Cleveland-Massillon to Sand Run Road in Bath.
The work is expected to begin next month and be completed by Sept. 15.
-- Bridges to be be resurfaced and waterproofed are the Christman Road bridge over Lake Y-Noah Outlet in Green; the Pressler Road bridge over the South Fork of the Tuscarawas River in Springfield; and the Pressler Road bridge over the Tuscarawas River in Springfield.
The Christman bridge will be closed for about two weeks. The Pressler bridges will be closed for about a week.
The work is to begin next month and be completed by Sept. 15.
