The new documentary on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park will get its first viewing tonight.
The show, titled Generations: Cuyahoga Valley National Park, will be premiered at the park's Happy Days Lodge off state Route 303 in Boston Heights.
Producer Duilio Mariola will answer questions at the end of the one-hour show.
Seating is limited and reservations are required by calling Kent-based Western Reserve PBS at 330-677-4549 or 800-554-4549.
Generations will air for the first time on Channels 45 and 49 at 8 and 11 p.m. Sunday.
It will also be shown at 2 p.m. Sept. 29; 10 p.m. Sept. 30; 8 p.m. Oct. 1; and 9 p.m. Oct. 4.
The Cuyahoga Valley park is also the focus of a 30-minute program by WVIZ/PBS ideastream that will premiere at 8:30 p.m. Thursday on Channel 25. It will also air at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The show, titled A Day in the Park, was assembled from nearly 1,000 images that amateur and professional photographers submitted of the park.
The project involved WVIZ/PBS ideastream, the park, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association and the Cuyahoga Valley Photographic Society.
The Cuyahoga Valley park will also be showing filmmaker Ken Burns' new six-part documentary on America's national parks, starting Sunday.
The National Parks: America's Best Idea will be shown on a big screen at the Happy Days Lodge from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday. That dinner screening is sold out.
Those in attendance can attend a post-viewing campfire where they can share personal accounts of national parks.
Burns' film will be shown nightly from 8 to 10 p.m. Monday through Oct. 2. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Campfires will be held nightly. There will also be a night hike along the Haskell Run Trail after the show on Oct. 2.
The in-park screenings are being presented by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association and Western Reserve Public Media.
